Dr. Jolene M. Kriett is a highly respected heart and lung surgeon who performs transplants and a variety of other cardiothoracic surgeries on both adults and children. At the UCSD Medical Center, she is Professor of Surgery and Director of Heart and Lung Transplantation in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery. At Children’s Hospital and Health Center in San Diego, she is Section Chief of the Division of Cardiovascular Surgery and is one of two pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons in the Heart Institute, where over 350 pediatric heart surgeries are performed every year to correct congenital heart defects.
